We were a bit concerned when we couldn't open the little box, but luckily our friendly neighbors came to the rescue and helped us with the key. The cabin itself was very clean and well equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the cabin was absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful countryside and offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We also enjoyed the convenience of having parking right beside the cabin. we had a fantastic time at Braeside Retreats and would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Our stay at Braeside Retreats was absolutely incredible. The pod was beautifully designed with stunning views from the hillside location. We loved the cozy yet spacious feel, and the attention to detail was impressive, from the Wi-Fi hub and USB charging ports to the slowly-closing toilet seat and fans in the bathroom and kitchen. The heated towel rail was a luxurious touch, and we appreciated the ample bathroom counter space. The little touches, like the flower pot on the front porch and the subtle animal themed decorations, added to the overall charm of the pod. We truly didn't want to leave! we had a fantastic stay in this lovely pod. It had everything we needed and was incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect for us, offering both peace and quiet while still being close to town for supplies. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning views. We also appreciated the proximity to the NC500 and the abundance of secluded beaches for our dog to explore. The limited storage for personal belongings and food was a minor inconvenience, but it didn't deter from our overall enjoyment. The wifi was a bit hit or miss, but we were prepared for this and had data available on our devices. All in all, we had a wonderful time at Braeside Retreats and would highly recommend it to others.

Fabulous location with outstanding pod. All mod cons, wonderful shower. Warm pod, no need for heating. Brilliant hot tub, first time experience. Delicious breakfast pack, added potato scone and haggis. Will return. Great for exploring east coast. Informative welcome guide. Amazing views, spotless place. Lovely touches, even for our dog. Safe area for her to wander. Best accommodation on our Scotland trip. Excellent value, huge hot tub!

The views from the accommodation were absolutely stunning, with picturesque scenery and a lovely view of the nearby islands. the location was also ideal, with close proximity to local attractions and amenities. Plus, the owner was friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
One small issue was the slow Wi-Fi, but honestly, who needs internet when you're surrounded by such magnificent beauty? Another minor downside was the lack of a shelf and small light on the wall side of the bed, which would have been helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Braeside Retreats in Thurso! The Pod was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, which was a fantastic way to unwind at night. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views over to Orkney were the icing on the cake. Plus, there were great restaurants just a short drive away.
Breakfast delights could be improved with the addition of tea towels for drying dishes and maybe some robes or extra towels for the hot tub. Also, there could be more storage options for personal belongings and food.

I recently stayed at Braeside Retreats for a peaceful break in my highland home town. The attention to detail, facilities, and location were outstanding. The hot tub was always hot enough, and the comprehensive guide provided by the owners was incredibly helpful. The views of the bays and Orkney were stunning, and the comfortable bed and sofa made for a comfortable stay. The quiet roads and farm tracks were perfect for evening walks, and the lack of midges made it an ideal time to visit. it was a perfect getaway.
Would recommend this hotel.
